Contributors

London and UK photographers needed.

London News Pictures is an editorial picture agency which produces quality news and features content for the UK’s press and magazine industry.

We are looking for experienced news photographers to work with us on a contributor basis.

You will have your own professional camera equipment and a laptop with 3G connectivity. You will be able to send edited and correctly captioned pictures quickly and to tight deadlines. You will be familiar with FTP.

This is not a trainee position, we are looking for photographers with experience of the industry.

For consideration email us (press@londonnewspictures.co.uk) no more than 10-15 images, sized at 1000px on the longest side at around 500k each, which best represent your work, remembering we are a news picture agency. Include cuttings of your work. If you have a website or blog please let us have a link to that too. Please include your location. Take care to follow these instrutions properly. We look at every email we receive and will contact you if your work is of interest to us.

We take quality very seriously at London News Pictures and have stringent measures in place. We expect all of our contributors to use Nikon or Canon professional equipment, carry a laptop with 3G card or dongle and be able to crop, edit and size pictures to our specifications and to be able to send pictures from the scene of a story. We would prefer you to use software such as Photomechanic or Fotostation and have access to an FTP client such as Transmit for filing images to us. We will supply metadata information for captioning use. You will have your own transport and carry a recognised UK press card.
